RU.nix has started at 2000 as the research project. The aim of this project was transfer SONY PlayStation2 to a powerful computer. We have no relations with SONY and never use any SONY internal information.
In June 2001 we’d opened first result of this project – RUnix (Linux clone) for PlayStaion One. That time we also had working Linux kernel for PS2 ( original port independent from SONY PS2 Linux kit).
For our internal reasons we closed project “RU.nix for PS1” at the end of 2002
It was an amazing trip. Maybe we’ll meet in future in other projects
